Overview
The
Dr. Peter Wallenberg Scholarship has been established in order to provide worthy
Swedish students the opportunity to attend Villanova University for one year.
Consideration for this scholarship will be given to students who are completing
or have recently completed their senior year in secondary school and seek to
participate in this program prior to enrolling in a college or university in
Sweden or abroad. Applicants will primarily be evaluated on the basis of their academic
achievements and application essay. This scholarship will be in an amount equal
to tuition, room and board expenses, and fees at Villanova University. In addition, the
scholarship will pay for textbooks and round trip airfare. The University will
provide on-campus housing for the scholarship recipient.

Applicants will need to complete the form on-line, then print, sign and submit
with the required credentials as noted below:

Copy of your most recent academic transcript

Letter of recommendation from an academic advisor
·
Proof of Proficiency in English (either SAT, ILETS, TOEFL results
or
Cambridge ESOL level 3/C2)
·
Personal statement or essay, of no more than one page indicating
your desire to be considered for the scholarship.

Review and Notification Process
Each scholarship application will be evaluated by a committee consisting of
representatives from the Office of University Admission at Villanova University and the Tekn. Dr. Marcus Wallenbergs Stiftelse for utbildning i
internationellt industriellt foretagande (Dr. Tech. Marcus Wallenberg Foundation for
Education in International Industrial Entrepreneurship). Finalists will
be selected by the committee and interviewed in Sweden by a representative from
the aforementioned foundation. The recipient will be notified by the
scholarship committee no later than the beginning of June.
Upon receipt of notification of the award the recipient will have until
mid-June to indicate acceptance of the Dr. Peter Wallenberg
Scholarship for one year at Villanova University. Upon receipt of this notification, the University
will work with the student in order to process the appropriate visa related
application materials. |
